Hello everyone!

My name is Amber and I have had experiences most of my life off and on. I like watching shows on ghost hunting and anything paranormal. I found you guys on twitter and I finally checked out your site tonight.
To be honest, I have had an experience that has still left me scared every time I think or talk about it. So, I am wondering if maybe anyone who would like to help me at least get an understanding of what I went through.

I was 17 years old, I am 27 now. I was dating a guy who was 18. He lived in Chicago and I lived in Parksville Vancouver Island. We had been dating long distance for about 8 or so months at this point and we were in love and hated being so far apart. Just so you know, he never told me what his house looked like or anything like that. I promise.
Anyways, one day I went to have a nap. It was warm, either late spring or summer. As I was falling asleep I began to feel a cold, tingling sensationg flowing down my body from my head. I tried to ignore it. I began to feel super light, like I was floating. Before I knew it I was looking down at my body sleeping. I looked around my room then I went up outside of the house. I was flying, I felt so happy and free. I went towards the ocean and went under water. I could breathe, I could see clearly. It was so nice and cool in the water. I came out of the water and up over the trees. It was like someone hit the super fast forward button because all I saw was a blur of buildings, roads and trees. Then I landed down infront of this house on the lawn.
I went inside through the front door. Without boring you anymore, it was like really walking through this house. Taking all the details in from the mirrors, what magazines were on the table and what was on the tv. I went down the hall and through this door. It was like I knew where I was going. Anyways, I floated down the stairs and went up to the corner of the room by the ceiling. Noting all the details, the lighting, furniture ect. The guys I was seeing walked down the stairs with a glass of milk.
Within about ten seconds of seeing him, I felt as though I was on a harness (the only way I can describe this feeling) and I got pulled backwards. Again, everything was such a blur. I came down infront of this gate. An old corroded iron gate, detailed, curved bars and such. The posts were of stone to either side of the gate. Very old looking, crumbling and covered in a moss? I went through the gate and the driveway was semi curved, small pebbles and those trees that have moss hanging over the branches. It felt very cold there. At this point, I didn't know where I was but I wanted to explore. I continued to 'walk' or whatever it was, down this road/driveway. An old house came into view. It had three stories.
It had a wrap around veranda along the first floor. It looked like at one point the house had been painted white, but it was flaking so much. The second floor had a couple windows facing forward and the third floor had what looked like an attic. Only one window. Now, I can tell you it looked like I was at a plantation house, maybe in Mississippi maybe?
I began to feel anxious. (I am sorry, I am fighting to keep control of myself right now) I went closer to the house and saw that there was a gentleman sitting in a rocking chair by the front door. The door was semi open. He was in a black suit. He had a hankerchief, white, just showing out of the coat pocket by his chest. He had a mustache and slicked back dark hair. He was starring at me, rocking slowly. I was a few steps away from the front stairs, when two little girls came running, giggling around the corner. They had blonde hair. One was in a pony tale, the other had ribbon in her hair. They had dresses on, like ones you would see on old dolls with the puffy arms, lace and buttons. They stopped when they saw me, then they got serious looking. They dissapeared into thin air. I looked towards the man, then he dissapeared also....but the chair was still slightly rocking.
Then, as if I had no control. I got pulled up to the third floor, infront of the window. I was trying to scream, only a small sound came from me. It felt like hands were on my trying to push my into the window. It was open and pitch black inside. I was so scared.
I got pushed through, and fell to my knees, onto the old wooden floor. Before I new it, there was candle light coming from somewhere in the room. I surrounded by about 8 or so what I would say people. They were in cloaks with hoods. Completely hiding their faces. They bagan chanting, all the same. I couldn't understand what they were saying, it sounded old almost ancient.
I couldn't move. I was frozen to the spot. I remember I could barely breathe. A light appeared before me. Red. A snake began to take form. I was still stuck in the circle and this thing was so close to me. It was like an orange/red colour. The eyes I remember, so evil looking. It was smiling, staring at me. Moving closer it began to transform into this thing. Not quite human. I dont know how to describe it. It was getting closer to me. I feel its breath, hot and foul smelling. I screamed and shut my eyes.
Within seconds, I was flying out of the house, away from the property, back tracking until I fell back into my body. I thumped when I came back. I opened my eyes, I was gasping for air. I was so cold. I began to cry. I was so scared.
I came to my senses and called the guy I was seeing. I told him everything. He was completely silent except for a few gasps.
He asked me how the hell did I know the magazines, the layout of the house, everything. He was freaked out. I told him what he was wearing, which ceiling light was out ect. I had everything right down to the detail. He was floored because he never said anything of the house to me before. There was no reason to.

So, nothing like this has happened before or after.

I am still freaked out about the later part of my experience. Does anyone have any ideas what the hec happened to me? Did I get pulled into something because I was out there or what? All I know, that it was real. The whole house was evil. The thing upstairs, I don't know what it was but it felt powerful. I could feel the power growing in the room as they were chanting.

Please tell me I am not crazy, it sounds silly, but I have never experienced something so, so powerful, evil and scary before in my life.

Any suggestions, advice or anything would be so helpful to me. I want to put this behind me.

Wow! Seems like you may have had an experience where you were able to peer into a past life. Seems like some type of slave/KKK situation. Question, you are not still with this guy, I presume? It seems like he may have had a hand in your death the last time around. We have experiences like this so that we may understand a hidden piece of ourselves and that so we don't repeat history.

That is a good possibility. I never thought of it like that. No I am not still with him. Wow. I have to say, you made me feel a little bit better about the whole thing.
The robes that the people (I assume were people) were wearing were of a dark brown almost black colour.
I did do a little bit of research and found out that some people nearby, in Errington were playing with Satanism. They were holding lots of rituals. Lots of animal sacrifices and such. I am also wondering, if because such negative energy was close by, maybe I was more vulerable because I was out there in spirit form?
For a couple years after, there were some strange things happening. Seeing shadows, things dissapering around the house. Eventually everything calmed down and nothing since.
Either way, I am so happy that nothing like that has ever happened again. Every once and a while I get the same feeling while I am falling asleep or meditating creeping along by body. I stop it immediatly. Do you think I should allow myself to see what happenes again?

You asked if you should continue to be open to these types of visions and my answer is what ever makes you feel comfortable. It took me a long time to be comfortable with 'flash photography' LOL (flashes of future events that happen...for lack of a better explanation)...I can also sense negative energy in houses or around people and am very good at reading past lives now...Anyway...

If you have a gift, you should use it. Do it with an open mind and remember they are just stories of past, present or future that who or whatever can't write themselves and they need you to do it. IF this is your gift, what a shame it would be to 'block' it out.

Thank you BillyJo. I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to my post. it was a very vivid OOBE and to this day I can still remember it like it was yesterday not ten years ago.

I will try and see where it goes and I won't stop it anymore.

That is very interesting. How long have you had that 'flash photography'? I also can sense negative energies in places, things and people also. I find I sense intent on people and it throws me a for a loop when it happens. I get the tingling down at the base of my spine and all my senses are hightened when someone like that is around. I can see and feel their energy.

I have seen alot of things I can't explain. But I am trying to be more open minded and I won't try and block it out. I feel so releieved I should say that I am opening up about this and I feel very comfortable here talking about them to everyone.

Amber, think about creating a sacred space or casting a circle of protection for your meditations. I know these are basically the pagan terms but google anyway, there's lots of ways to do it, so find one that suits your personality and your beliefs. I suggest this so that you have a safe place to do your meditating as it can sometimes make us vulnerable, especially for someone who is prone to OOBEs. Safe traveling

Hi AmberDawn, it is nice to meet you! I definitely do not think you are crazy. You had these experiences. It took me awhile to come to terms with my own experiences. So, don't you ever think you are crazy.

Your experiences are amazing. I had a similar one, but it wasn't like anything you experienced. Like you I was very scared.

Since I am new here and to the paranormal, I don't have much advice, but to just stay positive and that you are in a helpful community here. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you guys so much! I looked into making a circle of protection, and it is nice that there are simple versions to making one. I will do that next time I meditate. It was such a great suggestion.

It has taken me a long time to be comfortable to speak to anyone about the experiences I have had. I am staying positive about everything and appreciate you all for reading my experience. I think that this was one of the best things I have done by opening up to everyone here.

Ok, I don't think many people will read this. But I think I know where this house was....
Everything isn't matching up. But there are so many similarities that my hands were beginning to shake.

It looked like the Myrtles Plantation. I have never seen anything on it nor have I dared to try and find the house that was similar to what I saw.

I know it only has two stories... but the small middle window, the blackness of it, between the others on the second floor is dead on.

I looked up the history of the plantation, and looked up William Drew Winter. One of the pictures I saw was exactly who I saw sitting on the front porch in the small rocking chair by the front door!

The two little girls who were killed by their nanny, are usually seen playing on the veranda. Wearing white dresses. I saw them running to the front porch from the right side of the house along the veranda. They were laughing and holding hands.

I am in total shock right now. But just seeing the pictures of the house is sending major shivers down my spine. I know the smell and sounds around there, how the air feels, the feel of the wood.

I am sorry. I needed to pass this along. I hope I am not driving anyone crazy here. It is just so eerie.
