While I was sitting here trying to help someone with some investigation evidence, a thought came to mind. I wonder how much call there is for creating a Forum for investigators to post their evidence files, and request for help to listen through them, crop and post the areas where there are EVP's.

Its just a way to let investigators concentrate on investigating, and at the same time get multiple ears and eyes on the evidence to find results. Of course recording the file position in the original. If there is call for it, we can come up with guidelines and instructions for those wishing to help out.

Just curious what everyone's thoughts on this is? Interested in hearing both from Investigators and those willing to dig through evidence.

Obviously any evidence found would remain the sole property of the investigator. And the party searching would get mention if the found evidence is used.

I think it would be great to get help from experts when members have potential evidence to get advice for. They may be able to suggest ways of getting or looking at evidence supplied to the website. It would also be exciting for members to get involved in looking at evidence as well.

Well, the same can hold true in any task. And that includes in searching for evidence. By spreading the search out between several people you gain:

1) The ability to go through a large amount of evidence rather quickly.
2) Redundancy in the form of what one person misses, another may catch.
3) Independent verification, you gain this by having several people go over the evidence. If several find the same results in the same location, that evidence is verified.
