The "Encyclopedia of things that never were" is a great benchmark to see things wonderful, magical objects, places chimeric ... and a whole long list of "things" we've always dreamed of but "never existed." The texts are very entertaining, concise but more than sufficient to provide a first approximation for each of the inputs and also are accompanied by interesting artwork.

Basically, is organized into six sections:

The Cosmos: Includes zodiac, Greek Gods, mythology, and generally related to the origin of the world.

The soil and subsoil: magical and mysterious creatures that live in the mountains, forests, plains, and under our feet. Centaurs, satyrs, abatwa and the Wendigo, among many others.

The Wonderland: Places created by human imagination, Atlantis, King Solomon's Mines, Utopia, Never and many other strange places.

Magic, science and invention: Section dedicated to the magical technology. From Frankenstein to King Pygmalion's ideal woman, through the time machine and Lady Kerith.

Water, sky and air: The Flying Dutchman, the Argonauts, flying horses and sea snakes have their niche here.

The night Banshees, Revenants and other creatures of the night world is better .... maybe not know.

In short, a good book to read slowly and consult at any time.
