TOPIC: New moon/Year of the Dragon

New moon/Year of the Dragon 13 years, 9 months ago #1

I know I should have posted this YESTERDAY but alas, here we go.

On January 23rd the new moon cycle coincided with the Chinese new year. This year is the year of the Dragon, which is considered to be the luckiest year of the Chinese Zodiac and also the only animal of lore. The Dragon represents prosperity, good fortune, protection and heavenly blessings.

The new moon is also a time of new beginnings. It is a time where we reflect on actions of the past but leave them where they belong--in the past. It is the time to start off with a clean slate, to plant seeds and watch them grow.

This time is a powerful time for achievement and for setting plans in motion. If you have had a goal in mind for sometime, now is the time to act. Time to clean out the closets and start everything anew. If weather permits, open up the windows and get some fresh air in. Remember, this is a time for YOU to act upon your dreams and goals. The universe can only provide the fertile soil, you must provide the seed.
"Dead men have no need of pretense. What I seek is truth, light beyond light beyond Light. There are those who will tell you a different story. Who is to say which is right? But this I know: what I've seen with the naked eye has been fantasy, perhaps; but what I've known with the heart has been truth." ~Awakening Osiris

Hmm, I think I'm a dragon according to the calendar, born in '64. Wonder if that makes a difference.

Which sign you fall under will definitely have it's effect on the goals that have been set forth and the method of how which they will be achieved. Dragon in a dragon year feels at home.

You are indeed born under the sign of the Dragon, Steven.

Here's what I found about persons born under the sign of the Dragon:

"...in Chinese astrology the dragon person born under this Chinese Zodiac sign tends to be a "doer" – they do things and achieve power by getting things done.

"A dragon can breathe out fire so the person born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon can be a hothead. Watch out if you make them angry!

"However, the dragon has a soft underbelly and so in Chinese astrology the dragon person born in this Chinese Zodiac year has a "soft spot" to them. They may get angry at someone who annoys them but they also show great compassion to people in need.

"A dragon has a long tongue which is often seen.

"So in Chinese astrology the dragon person born in this Chinese Zodiac year has a sharp tongue – they will say things that can be quite sarcastic and biting.

"The person born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon can be quite a confronting person but if you can reach their "soft heart" they are worthwhile allies.

"2012 is the Chinese year of the dragon. So what does 2012 hold for a person born in the Chinese Year of the Dragon?

"Such people such double their efforts in whatever they do - work, education and other projects. Their natural talent and abilities should stand out with great results.

"However, watch out for that temper! Keep it in check and do not spoil your good work."

Thanks very much for that Tress; it is so appreciated. This year has already started out well [first time in a long time].

We got a reading at the end of the year which was quite good for this year, so I think this will be an exciting year.

For me, the year of the Rooster

"The person born in the Year of the Rooster tells it like it is – honestly but maybe not always tactfully."

What, me? NO WAY!

Year of the PIG (Boar):

People born under the year of the pig are lucky! Fortune comes to them easily. They are often silly and maybe a touch naive. But they will often make sacrifices of themselves for the benefit of others.

Year of the RAT:

If you are born under the year of the Rat, you are very hardworking and industrious. They are single-minded in achieving their goals and are not ones for distraction. They are shy and work is often a way to conceal this. They find security in the company of their family and friends and are often found with a group. They are very busy people who are not good at relaxing.
