Very interesting, I increased the brightness and still can't make it out. At first it looked like a humanoid shadow. But when you increase the brightness almost to the point where the definition of the image breaks up you can see some detail that doesn't look humanoid. But not sure what it is. Great picture!

Here's what I got when I enhanced just the dark spot area:

Very interesting! The process I used is this...

Stretched the Levels so as to enhance the brightness and contrast.
Then I removed the noise using a noise filter. It also attempts to remove JPEG artifacts.
Finally I re-enhanced the contrast to bring out more detail again.

What is a Humanoid shadow?

Re: Photo 657 14 years, 1 month ago #6

humanoid shadow just means shadow in the shape of a person
"Dead men have no need of pretense. What I seek is truth, light beyond light beyond Light. There are those who will tell you a different story. Who is to say which is right? But this I know: what I've seen with the naked eye has been fantasy, perhaps; but what I've known with the heart has been truth." ~Awakening Osiris

I also played with the brightness, contrast, and blurred it a little instead of sharpening. I see a man-shaped shadow on the right, BUT also, to the left of center, it looks like the face of a man from the turn of the century. He has that "Houdini hair" look of that period. Nine times out of 10, when I do this, I can debunk the claims made by the photographer. This one is very interesting! Good work! Donna
