Discuss photo: Photo 1332




Hello,

I recently installed a security camera in my backyard patio and enabled motion detection at night. Every night I get a few pics, and about every day or two I've been noticing some with strange lights. At first I thought that it could be insects, but it happens around the same 2 to 3 hour window and there is no light source that can reflect of the insect. I do have motion lights outside, but you can see in the photos they are not on, as it's pitch black.

I'm very curious to hear what people think. A couple of these can probably be explained as insects, but the consistency and significant variation in the patterns makes me wonder about this.

It appears you do have IR lights on which still reflect off any objects including insects that happen to be in them although you cant see it with your eyes.
