Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if any of you computer savy people could help me with the problems I'm experiencing at the moment. I was so looking forward to the live investigation tonight and when I clicked on "Live Investigation" it takes me to the page but unfortunately I don't have the static live camera LIVE box (all I have is a straight blue horizontal line)and can't even change screen size or engage in the chat. I don't have any problems with other areas of the website (photo's, video's, forums etc) or any other websites I visit. I have all the latest programme updates. I was able to watch the live investigation at the apartment late December without any problems so I'm open to any suggestions and will answer any questions.

Not to miss out on the investigation I'm watching via my iPad, but the screens are so small lol.

1st make sure you are logged in. 2nd go to google chrome and open from there

Thank you so much for your help kctkd finally got on via my laptop - just so happy and saved me buying a new laptop. I've always used Internet Explorer 9 and haven't had any trouble until now.

Yes, you are correct. I found out last night that Microsoft had released some JavaScript changes which are totally messing with the Live Investigation drag and drop applet. I'm working on changes but will take some time. Until its completed, I would highly suggest using Google Chrome or Firefix, Opera, or some alternative browser to Internet Explorer. They tend to be more compatible with the industry standards.

now that I am forced to have IE9 I have way too many problems. I use Chrome 99.9% and IE for an extra browers for quick lookups

Internet Explorer, the standard in computer viruses. If I didn't need it for my job, I'd be on Chrome all of the time.

IE goes down on us at least 8-10 times a day.

Yeah the first thing I did on my laptop was to install Google Chrome.

It makes the web really work, and fast!

Now I've made Google Chrome my preferred browser can't believe how fast it works, just so glad I changed. I was starting to think my laptop was haunted LOL.

Yeah, I'm a bit of a Google Chrome evangelist. I preach the evils of IE and the saving grace of Google Chrome where ever I go.

It has its quirks too, but all-in-all its much better. The only thing I would recommend is every now and then clear the entire browsing history. It keeps it going better.
